Interesting. What abv is that beer? Does it taste like a Hofbrau?

It's a schwarzbier, 4.8% ABV, and I prefer it to Sprecher's Black Bavarian.
The closest Hofbräu I can imagine might be their Dunkel--but with more carbonation and without the fruity notes. So... no.

Borrowing from descriptions on Beer Advocate that are accurate to my experience:
Dark ruby black/brown color. Smell and flavor is strongly roasted barley malt, nutty, hints of molasses and dark bread. The flavor lingers on the tongue. Feels thin and crisp with lots of carbonation.

Pour very slowly, unless you like more head than beer!
