Whether he calls for a fair catch or not, you still cant hit him before he catches the ball. Even if he bobbles it, you cant hit him until he catches it or it hits the ground. Also, it would have been targeting anyway.

Not so sure about the bobble, if he does not call the fair catch you can hit him as soon as the ball touches his hands.

Look on the bright side. We went from sitting on the ball with over 2 minutes left under Pruitt to at least getting a FG attempt from a drive starting almost 90 yards away in just over a minute. It’s improvement.

I think it’s a bunch of horse crap that a punt returner can wave his hand right when the ball is coming down. You should have to wave your hands way before that point. I loved the hit and applauded him for it.
