The Official Tennessee @ #1 Alabama Game Thread, 9:00 PM ET, ESPN

Actually it was set up very well, 2 runs up the middle and then was supposed to be handed off to running back running left, and trey smith blocked his man and a huge running lane was there
if it had been handed off to the rb a td for tn. instead jg ran the wrong play. That's why pruitt was so upset with jg[/QUOTE
Agree and we had crouch in, really wanted to see him pound the rock.

Game was winnable if not for the BS roughing call on Taylor, and JG with the worst decision I’ve seen in organized football in a long while.
Could've done without the predictable run plays at the end too. Jet-sweep maybe? I mean, a freaking yard at 4th and goal! I never expected to get as close as we did, but JG f****** blew it! Again! Why am I surprised? Oh wait, I'm not.

Yup. We need Mauer the second half of the season. We can still make some noise before we are done
We need him, but there’s ZERO chance he’s healthy enough to play more than a series here and there before leaving the remaining games....if he’s even cleared to play in any of them. Can’t count on this kid, JG is trash and Shrout ain’t close to ready. We’re screwed at QB.

I’ve been saying “slow your roll on Harrison Bailey” for months. However, it’s clear that he better come in as a true freshman and be the savior at QB next year or we’re screwed again.

You have time to work
While JG is awful, Shrout was horrible in the 10-15 plays he ran in the other game. I get the give him a chance mentality especially after that.

But we need to bring in some players first and foremost.
with Shrout you don't with jg. give shrout a chance
