The Official Selection Sunday Thread

no, you are wrong. that is absolutely not true. there is no way Georgetown was the top 2 seed, but they are playing with the last 1 seed.

Believe whatever you want. We have the toughest 3-seed and the Overall #1 in our bracket.

Tennessee got screwed!

Geogetown seems like the weakest 2.

UT should have paired against Kansas (the last 1). It does look like a geographic decision to keep the Vols close to home.

hey there vols!

looks like i'm the first AU eagle to show up and post on this thread. AU will most likely get killed, but i'm hoping that tennessee comes out a bit flat and the eagles keep it close for a half. you guys should have a huge height advanatage (as well as a general athletic advantage) throughout the fame. the only hope for AU is if D. Mercer comes out hot from the perimeter and if they limit their turnovers. This is Au's first time in the tournament (ever!) and hopefully will make a good showing.

I thank you for respectfully posting here, but I have a feeling you all are going to get dominated come Friday.:clapping:

Welcome to the board and congrats to your team.

Reece just mentioned/speculated that Tennessee may have gotten an advantageous #2 seeding.

More to come after the commercials. This oughtta be good!

No, you are wrong, The weakest #2 seed is put in the same bracket as the Overall #1 seed.

No, there are geographical and matchup considerations. That is why Duke(the worst 2 seed) is not in UNC's bracket. We were rewarded by playing close to home.

The match-up considerations are more important to me, unless you get close to your home court.

I heard Hubert Davis say that Charlotte is the same distance from Chapel Hill as it is from Knoxville, so UNC doesn't have an advantage. What a homer!

Pearl on ESPN now!

Duke may be the worst 2 (or Georgetown), but I don't think they'd pair Duke with UNC as 1 and 2 seeds. There are only 4 ACC teams in the tournament. The greatest fantasy of both programs is to meet in the CG some day. It wouldn't be right to have them eliminate one another. The Heels have already proven they can beat Duke (and vice versa).

From ESPN, this is the 1st time ever that the #1 Team in the RPI did not get a #1 seed !!!!!!!
