The Official Selection Sunday Thread

Clemson's win against Duke was not at Cameron. It was yesterday in the ACC tournament. Did you even watch basketball this weekend?

simple (and dumb, mind you) mistake of looking over on ESPN schedule. so, i suppose that was warrented.

and yes, I watch college basketball.

does anyone think Indiana got robbed with an 8 seed? They've been ranked almost all year, have 2 great players, and only 7 losses

IMO now that the selection is over with., it's really up to UT to be consistent, and that's the one thing they've yet to do. They've played to the level of their competition all year, now they have to bring it every game. UT CAN beat anyone out there... but it's up to them to start playing some complete games. All I heard before the Memphis game was how UT would get killed on the boards, and look what happened. And up til the SEC tourny, their halfcourt D was much improved. So I guess it just depends on which team shows up.

at this point there is no sense in complaining, only looking at what it is that we need to do in order to beat american, butler, and south alabama, thats it

Texas is going crush Memphis.
uh, no they won't. Somebody might beat Memphis, but it won't be badly and it's unlikely to be a team that relies so heavily on the 3. Memphis has a nasty draw, but they are one of the top teams in the country without a doubt.

The lone game they lost, only one of their stars showed up.

all day long. that's a disaster. There's no way that IU is a 8 seed and Arky a 9. If arky shows up today at all, they're right now a 5.

The winner of that Indiana/Arkansas matchup plays UNC in the second round. Notice how I'm not whining about the matchup. If your team is good enough to be a contender in the tournament, then these types of teams are irrelevant.

...which would make it about 49 cents more valuable than yours.
well, that goes without saying since you're obviously the man with all of the answers. Hell, look at you, you went to UNC. Not everyone can do that.

for the record, I like your version of the old playground doozy, "I'm an idiot, you're the idiot." That's pure genius.

I couldn't agree more BPV.

This is a tough bracket. Louisville would be a tough matchup. And I would rather play UNC than Kansas or UCLA. Let's make it happen.

ASU got jobbed. please explain to me how oregon is a 9th seed and ASU isn't even in tourney.

I agree with you. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that ASU's record is better than the University of Arizona AND they swept the University of Arizona, who of course made it in the tournament as a #10 seed.

Congratulations to you. I'm not whining about ours either because I think we were fortunate to draw UNC rather than the teams that can play actual defense. The UNC matador look will beat them in this tourney, not if, but when.

I'm very fortunate to view our having to play you as irrelevant. Louisville scares me much more.
