Which is why I noted that there are more. The dumb is not with me. Just like it was not numerous times when I said here that I want no coaching change, but that was not something some would believe. So we are back where we are.

You're a coach fan instead of UT fan. Whine all you want, but that is what you are when people do not praise as you say they should. Let's get together and I'll listen to you whine in person. It would be fun.

We will likely be a 2 seed which is good. I would have preferred a 1 and while there are losses that happen, we have what it takes to have won 3 of those and it was not just the players that caused it all the time.

Now, continue your crusade on top of your mountain.

As I have said here more than once, we can still win it all.

It is stupid. As I wrote before though, he is likely not going to be here for years and years.

I hope he stays for at least one more year.

Yeah, I've been an avid fan of Vols' Mens' Basketball for 55 years. I can argue all day long with support that Barnes is our GOAT coach

That would be awesome but Tennessee would be unbelievably lucky if he stayed even two more seasons. I don’t think there’s any world in which Barnes is on the sidelines in 2028, let alone 2030.

I never disagreed with that.

I do not recall making a GOAT coach choice in here or really anywhere else except talk about Coach Summitt and Gen. Neyland.

I just want to win it all and I will take Coach Barnes all day.

I still think we should have lost 3 total games. I do not think we had 6 games this year where its just not a good night and I know that those nights do happen. I watched some sports in the last 50 myself.

T’was joking. I know that’s not gonna happen. Even if we did take Bruce back, I don’t think Danny White is going to let the likes of Bruce Pearl hold him hostage to hire his son after Pearl hits retirement. Pearl doesn’t carry that kind of weight in D White’s world.

I like Barnes and it has nothing to do with performance or anything, but if he was planning on hanging it up year after next, I would rather it be this next year since we will be rebuilding.
Kill two birds with one stone.
Suffer through a rebuild year and get the new coach's first year bumps out the way.
Best case scenario he wins us a Natty this year and then rides off into the sunset with his middle finger up to his haters.

In the portal/NIL era no coach should ever have to “rebuild” with the resources we have.

I agree. "rebuilding" is an obsolete term based on long term participation and development of the players. That era is gone. Look at Kentucky. Lost their coach and the entire team. Every single player gone. No roster at all. Hired a new coach, went and bought a fifth year senior mid major all star team and voila, top 20 team which swept a top 5 team.

Yep. Louisville did the same thing minus the top 5 wins.
