I've tried to stay quiet and leave it alone... but we're getting a lot of regurgitated topic discussion. Lots of new threads for anything that's popping into some of the fellers minds. Mods are probably going nuts merging and moving. Again, I guess it's a good thing that there's so much interest. But I wish those that are going to disappear as soon as there's a loss would just leave now.

Actually I think that the wave of new drive by activity has crested. Of course it'll be back at high tide with every advancement to the next NCAAT round. Hopefully we crash the VN server in about two weeks.

So I did the math and every region has top four seeds adding up to 35 except the midwest, which is at 31 (Auburn, Duke, Mich St, Kansas).

Isn’t that weird? I though they were supposed to be close to equal?

Yep, they don’t come around all year until we get a NCAA 3 seed and all of a sudden think they’re the first to come up with the same stuff we’ve been discussing all season.

I also love the confidence of some of these guys. Very sure of themselves when it comes to basketball knowledge. Unrightfully so, most of the time atleast.

The overall seed placement, i.e. Virginia 1st seed overall, Nova 2nd, etc. If you add those up for the first four seeds in each region, they’re supposed to be basically the same, but the midwest is significantly lower than the other regions due to having MSU and Duke who are well ranked for their seed lines.

We need some new poster profiles and star rankings. Surely there's some talent in there somewhere... just having trouble weeding out the clutter. You need to issue some grades.

It's actually not as bad as I first thought. There was just a huge spike in activity today. That's gonna happen after sitting out the NCAAT the last 3 years and 6 of the last 7.

Why weren’t you in the Bowden thread? Someone says something about Fulk and you go ballistic but people have been slamming Bowden all day and I’m the only one taking up for the kid.

Thought you would have his back as well.

I was just doing it for the top four seeds from each region since they define the regions more than the lower teams, but I bet if I expanded it further it would be closer, yeah. I’m curious to see what golf thinks about it since he gets into the math on this stuff

I don't go ballistic. I'm opposed to ignorant blanket posts about Fulkerson sucking and is a waste of a scholarship.

Most of the Bowden criticism has been civil and reasonable. Even the critics can recognize that he's a pretty good defender. I agree.. he needs to shoot less until he's out of the slump.

I think they rank them 1 through 68 and then move them around from the top down to get the highest seeds close to home. They might check it by doing the math but that wouldn't be the criteria driving it.

1+2+3+4+5+...+15+16 equals what? 128?

You obviously didn’t check the game thread.

People were saying he isn’t an offensive threat at all. He shouldn’t be getting any minutes, he’s just a warm body etc etc.

Someone says Fulk needs a haircut and you fly off the rails.
