The Official NBA Draft Thread

I agree on the ticket sales thing. I laugh at the Memphis fans who say that we should have gotten CDR or Joey to sell tickets. We've drafted several Memphis players before, and there really wasn't a difference.

Winning is really the only thing that will bring better ticket sales. If OJ becomes a star, that will help also.....if he even stays here over the long haul.

It is about the same per year but BC's only lasts 2 more years to Mr. Lima's 3 years. Plus, BC is pretty much dead weight I think. Mr. Lima can at least still play...kind of.

I think I heard the Griz freed up 4 million dollars in cap space overall in the deal, so it isn't too bad I think.

Plus, I think the chance to see this on the sideline is worth it.:air_kiss:

Mr.Lima is also dead weight.

There is a bit of hope for memphis fans I think. A lineup of Conley, Mayo, Gay, Arthur, and Marc Gasol is utterly awful right now, but they have a chance to grow and mesh together and maybe become a solid team in the future. Unfortunately, as good as that young lineup may be, they still wont be able to compete with the young talent Portland could be fielding for the next 15 years.

I am not sure that lineup is "utterly awful".....IMO anyway. Though I agree with Portland, as long as they can keep them all there. There is hope in Memphis though with "Run GMC" as they have been called lately. I won't buy tickets regardless but it gives me more of a reason to watch them on TV or accept free tickets when available.
