makes since for the Grizz. pick up mayo, likely will not take Walker's huge contract, pick up some other players. still have Marc Gasol and another 1st round pick from the Lakers, plus their own. I hear that Conley could be going to Portland

a decent NBA player, not a star by all means, but is probably best case a good bench guy for a good team or a 2 or 3 option for a crappy team. pure shooter, maybe one of the better 3 point shooters in the NBA. he's probably already hit his peak in his career, but is still a solid piece for a bad team

Grizzlies did very well I think. At worst, Mayo will be a serviceable guard with good defense and at best, well a top notch star. There is a also a good chance that Arthur will be a starter (steal at 28) pending any FA moves.

I liked the Love pick but that was only because he was the best available at the time.

I went to ESPN radio's draft party with free beer and free food. It was a pretty good time. :good!:

I think this is the most buzz that the Griz have had since the playoff days.

Oh and I didn't want the Griz to just take CDR or Joey for season tickets sales only as I am not really sure how many more tickets they would actualy sell. If Chris Wallace and Co. thought they could be contributors to the team, than by all means go after them. I do think CDR went too low though.

Just my thoughts.

The only thing that sucks for yall is that you guys got the dreaded Jaric contract which is worse than Cardinal's.

It is about the same per year but BC's only lasts 2 more years to Mr. Lima's 3 years. Plus, BC is pretty much dead weight I think. Mr. Lima can at least still play...kind of.

I think I heard the Griz freed up 4 million dollars in cap space overall in the deal, so it isn't too bad I think.

Plus, I think the chance to see this on the sideline is worth it.:air_kiss:

apparently the Grizz were trying hard to trade for Beasley, but the only way Miami would go for it was if Rudy Gay was apart of the deal and there was no way they were going to let go of Rudy and no way the Heat would trade Beasley without Rudy being in the deal

Whoa, I say forget his contract. My dad is a season ticket holder, I think I'll have to go to a few more games this season

I agree on the ticket sales thing. I laugh at the Memphis fans who say that we should have gotten CDR or Joey to sell tickets. We've drafted several Memphis players before, and there really wasn't a difference.
