The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

He's got a full ride.

I think he deserves a second chance. He did what NASCAR directed him to do and has been done amazing work in part-time status this season.

I heard that the #47 team is also looking at/maybe announcing an alliance with RCR tomorrow as well.

They should get some Hendrick motors in there. They run real fast.

I like jtg Daugherty racin. I would love to see them become the next FRR.

Ganassi bettter start building some cars, cause that kid is gonna tear a bunch up. He is way overrated.
If he is overrated then almost everyone in NASCAR from car owners, drivers and the media covering the sport will be proven wrong because most say he is best pure talent to enter the sport since Jeff Gordon.

"Make it, "will be" the next star in the sport's top series. Says who? Just ask Tony Stewart.

"I guarantee it," "If not, you can take everything I own, because I'm that confident. It's not a matter of if, it's when." - Tony Stewart

“That kid is a lot better than (Jeff) Gordon or I was at his age,” “You’re going to be hearing about him for a long time. He’s a special talent.” - Tony Stewart, February 2013

"That boy's going to be a Jimmie Johnson or a Jeff Gordon. He's not just going to be a Saturday racer or someone like me who just won a Truck race. That boy is going to be a full-fledged Sunday racer." - Kyle Bush

"he makes me look like nothing," at his age.-Jeff Gordon

Earnhardt Ganassi taps Larson

Larson, a graduate of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program, has been heralded as the most complete driver to enter the stock-car ranks since Jeff Gordon in 1990.

“I’m impressed with Kyle Larson for a lot of reasons and a lot of different series,” Gordon said at Richmond. “I raced sprint cars. I raced midgets and of course the last 20-plus years been racing in NASCAR. To me, non-winged sprint car on dirt is probably one of the hardest race cars there is to drive.

“He makes it look pretty easy. He can jump back and forth and be competitive in just about everything that he gets into. I think he has impressed a lot of people.”

No, Larson hasn’t won in the Nationwide Series — yet. But champions Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart both had limited success in the feeder tour before they were given Cup rides. Johnson has just one career NNS win, and Stewart’s first victory in that series didn’t occur until 2005.

With a second rate team. Yeah, that's great!

And he was turned out on his ass just last season.

And since that time, he's had the greatest amount of success in a stock car in his entire life with Penske. Oh, and he also led the Indy 500.

They had their shot when Todd Berrier wanted Kurt Busch and the team couldn't make it happen. Any idea if that combo ever got together?

Took the kids to the race tonight. Not much action but had a great time. I picked Harvick pre race. It was fun watching him move forward the 1st part of the race. Nationwide race is way more enjoyable than the Cup race when you have small kids.

Less drunk nerds?

I had no idea who to take in fantasy this week. Trying to save some drivers for the playoff stretch. I am currently sitting in 1st by a few points, I have been all or nothing thus far.

For those that didn't watch the trucks at MoSport, you missed an exciting and controversy filled finish;

Newman could replace Burton in the #31. That would push Burton to the Swan Racing #30 with Cat as sponsor and an alliance with RCR.
