Indianapolis TV Ratings: ESPNs live telecast of the Brickyard 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 28, earned a 3.6 U.S. household rating, averaging 5,460,351 viewers, according to the Nielsen Company. The rating and viewership were up 9% from last years race, which earned a 3.3 rating and 5,054,849 viewers. Indianapolis led all markets with a 13.7 rating, up 26% from last years 10.9 rating. The rest of the top five markets were Greensboro, N.C., (10.1), Greenville, S.C., (9.4), Charlotte, N.C., (9.1) and Norfolk, Va., (8.3). Rounding out the top 10 were Jacksonville, Fla., (8.2), Nashville, Tenn., (8.1), Birmingham, Ala., (7.8), Richmond, Va., (7.7) and Knoxville, Tenn., (7.2)(ESPN)
