The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

Who's excited about truck racing on dirt tonight?
It think its gonna be fun if they can go any distance at all without cautions. I have my doubts about that.

Also it starts at 9:30 and for this girl, bedtime is usually 10. :/

I want to watch it. I think it's going to be fun to watch... one time. I don't think it's something they should do every year.

Nothing about truck racing screams fun to watch, but at least this may be worth 30 minutes.

This sounds fun to watch because it's something different from the normal race for them. If it turns into a crash fest, which it might, it won't be fun to watch for long.

I watched practice last night. They do look slow, but it should be interesting to watch tonight. You can definitely tell the drivers who do not have any dirt experience, they are all over the place. I actually kinda hope Bloomquist does good tonight.

I noticed that Bloomquist and a few others that had dirt experience seemed to have their trucks set up a little different than the others.

Former next door neighbor aka OrangeSmokey - who do you root for nowadays? Friend is a big Tony fan and got me watchin. Placing a bet or 2 helps a lot too!

48 and 20 have won me $ this season so they're my boys.

Then I lose it all.

Agreed on Dallenbach. Waltrip, I feel like, has turned himself almost in a cartoon character. Petty gets on my nerves as well. Jarrett doesn't bother me and I would like to see him on the Nascar side a little more.

DW is kind of like Chris Berman. It was moderately entertaining at first, but after years and years tge schtick becomes tiring.

I really don't have one particular driver. I pull for JR, or Smoke, or an underdog if they are leading. Like Vickers last week. I wanted to see Vickers win even though I don't like MWR.

Maybe if Bubba starts out front and doesn't have to come through traffic he will run well and not crash. :crossfingers:

Nah, that didn't work at Dover. Started on pole and finished like 13th.

I think he is capable of winning this season, but man it has been heartbreaking so far.

For some reason he only ran 26 laps. Much fewer than everyone else. I wonder if they are simply saving their stuff or if something is amiss?

I'm going to watch Eldora tonight just to see what the hype is all about. There is going to be a lot of turn up trucks and I'm going to say one of the ringers will win it.

FYI the first heat race of the night starts at 7pm. There is going to be 5 (8 lap) heat races followed by a last chance 15 lap race to get in. The main event will be at 9:35.

For those that haven't seen the trucks on the track. Also I'm surprised Tony isn't racing tonight.
