The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

Don't like the 24's chances now. He's been terrible on restarts all year and if he gets mired back in traffic, it's over for him.

Roush confirmed the decision Sunday, a move that had long been expected but could not be substantiated because Edwards refuses to publicly discuss contract negotiations. He is believed to be headed to Joe Gibbs Racing in a new fourth car, but his contract with Roush does not permit him to announce his plans until September.

I'm all for it

Next year's lineup at Roush is very sorry.

1. A washed up Biffle
2. Bayne who's still riding off his 500 win but hasn't shown much, even in nationwide
3. Stenhouse who has yet to find consistency

Ouch

Indy isn't a track made for stock cars but they race there anyway because of the track's prestige. The newness has worn off considerably.

I missed that 08 race. Sounded like a hot mess.

What if they run the brickyard ever other year, or every four years? Possibly a night race?

I love that track, it sends a shiver down my spine whenever I see it. It is clear that the luster has worn off.

I'd go again for a night race, otherwise I couldn't care less. And I'm one of the biggest IMS fans there is.

My dad quit caring about it after 1999.
