The "official" Lost thread

To JamesD: The smoke monster has always made those mechanical type sounds. Watch any old episode when he grabs someone and drags them into the temple.

And 2nd, it wasn't necessarily "all men" because the Nemesis said he wasn't sure if "42-Kwon" meant Jin or Sun.

The sound the smoke monster makes sounds like a receipt printer....strange.

At some point Rose said that the sound smokey makes sounded familiar...

Why did the skeletons in the cave have a white and a black rock? Is it significant that a black and a white stone were found beside those skeletons and is it significant to our understanding of LOST to know the identity of the skeletons? What I find interesting about the skeletons in the cave and in the Black Rock ship is that Sawyer did not see them. If he had, he might give those stones more thought.

Found this online link interesting not sure if it is an official Lost synopsis or an inventive entry on the authors part.

The Black Rock

If this is an official lost timeline story then it's revelations could be very important and yet to be revealed. Has anyone seen this before and was it touched on in a previous episode?

My guess is the two bodies that had the rocks were the old Jacob and Smokie.....My guess is the island has existed forever and there has always been good versus evil (white vs. black) on the island....Every so often they have to change physical forms.

I can definitely see Jack becoming the new Jacob, and Sawyer the new Smokie. Jacob has been looking for a candidate, and Smokie just wants to get off. Those bodies with the stones were probably Jacob and Smokies original bodies.

Yeah I completely missed that as well. Also who was the little kid, and did I see wrong or was he actually covered in blood the first time "Locke" saw him?

I saw that too. he was covered in blood the first time. at least on his arms.

the skeletons they are talking about, I think, were in the cave on the way to the temple in a previous episode.

The skeletons were found in a cave in season 2 if I remember correctly...may have been season 1.

The skeletons were holding a rock, one white one black

Why? Because Rose is black and Bernard is white?
Because the island cured Rose's cancer and they didn't want to leave. They had been living there and enjoying it the last time we saw them on the island.

I definitely think that it will be one of the couples on the island and i don't think it will be Sun and Jin but Desmond and Penny make more sense to me than the Kwon's

so they died in the 70's? Is that what you are saying?

It takes a lot of disconnecting with reality with this show. What I think he is saying is, that in season 5(think it was one of the last episodes) after Ben "moved the island" with the wheel it started a series where the remaining survivors traveled thru time, repeatedly. It kept on going until Locke jumped down the well and fixed the wheel back into place.

During every travel it would hurt the survivors by causing brain damage but NEVER did it age them.

After they set off the H-Bomb, for whatever reason, it sent them back to the present. Where again, they did not age.

Hope this helps.

Aww I see what you are asking now.... I only read the last few posts before my reply..

I dont think the skeletons were Rose and Bernard, because like you said, everyone flashed back to the present after the H-Bomb. I'm thinking they are either Smokie and Jacob or just some random bones.....
