The Official Lakers Thread

The Lakers have a chance to make some more ground up today if the Spurs drop another one, and Los Angeles takes care of business against the Nuggets.

Looks like the Nugs are gonna win. Just went up 5 with 20.9 seconds to go.

Well... Odom just hit a 3 to make it a 2 point game. 15 seconds...

Nene makes the 1st free throw and misses the 2nd but Kenyon gets the put-back. Lakers would have had a chance to tie if they got the rebound. Lead back to 5 with 11 seconds. Should do it.

No doubt... It's gonna have to be close to the Lakers winning out and the Spurs losing out to get that one seed.

Nice to see the Jazz win against LA. I want my Jazz to lose every game so they can have a better pick, but LA fans* were gloating so much about beating Utah last week (I don't know why, the Jazz suck) that I was happy with the result.

*There is a ridiculous amount of LA fans in SLC, Utah.

There are almost as many idiot bandwagon fans for the Lakers across the country as there are idiot bandwagon fans for whichever team Lebron James is playing for.

The Warriors were doing the same thing to us last night.

Seems like they always like playing spoiler at the end of the season.

17 point lead for GS. IMO Phil would be wise to let this one play out and try and lock up the two seed another night.

Still have a decent cushion and the tie breaker over Dallas.

Kobe's pt is shrinking at an alarming rate this year. I understand Phil doesn't wanna kill him before the playoffs, but I really am not a fan of sitting him the first half of the 4th. I'd rather him just sit more in the third.

The game was pretty much out of reach by the time the 4th quarter hit... No need to push that hard and risk injury or dead legs for a game you're probably not gonna win and don't really need to win.
