The Official Lakers Thread

There's plenty of other people to choose over one of the more overrated players in the league. What talent he does have is running thinner and thinner everyday with his age.

That is bona fide retarded. Name the FA's who are better than Rasheed. Rasheed is definitely not overrated, he has the talent.

Pleasant surprise to see the NBA starting back up. Go Lakers! Very interested to see if Kobe can continue to sustain his outrageously high level of play this season.

The Lakers are honestly going to have their work cut out for them! Right now there are the "big 5" contenders (Lakers, Spurs, Magic, Celtics, Cavs) battling for their rights to the ring... Immediately, I want to take out the Cavs, as by the looks of things so far the O'neal trade was more stunt to keep Lebron in Cleveland, rather than actually making the team better. Next, the Celtics look good, but their success solely lies on the shoulders of KG and he still hasn't gotten his legs back! IMO, it comes down to San Antonio, L.A. Lakers, and the Orlando Magic... I say Spurs over Magic in 6, giving Tim Duncan his 5th championship and solidifying his rightful place as "The best power foward EVER." ..........but then again, I'm probably the biggest Spurs fan in the state of Tennessee so I might be a bit bias! haha

Last night sure didn't go according to plan. We were terrible across the board. I didn't see that coming especially this early in the season.

Hopefully the losing streak ends tonight. It's great to see the player that Bynum has turned out to be. He should have been there for the previous two seasons.

I'm hoping they can make a deal to improve the bench a little bit. I can't thank Memphis enough for donating us Gasol.

Anyone see the game? Started off great, then the last 47 minutes went terrible. LA just couldn't hit shots.
Out-worked is the only way to put it. Cleveland showed up, LA just mailed it in.

I wouldn't worry though. I'm still not backing off the LA winning the title thing. A healthy, motivated Lakers show up in the playoffs and they are talented enough to beat every team in the league in a best of seven.

So true. Even with a deflated bench I'd take LA against anyone in a Finals Series.
