The Official Lakers Thread

Wow, just wow.... Why do they not stay motivated every game... Given, this Houston team is ultra thin and small, but still. Just WOW!
 
Even without Yao or T-Mac, Houston's ability to defend has shown that they're capable of competing with anyone in the NBA in a 7 game series.
 
The Lakers stepped up and got it done on the defensive side of the court today. With Denver's much improved defense LA has to have there A game on d if they want to advance.
 
If tonight's game was any indication of how this series will turn out, its gonna be a good one. I thought the Lakers were done after Odom's selfish turnover late in the fourth,but they rallied to victory. Also, props to Kobe for his performance on a night when a lot of his shots didn't go down.
 
It's pretty evident from game 1 this series will be about Phil Jackson vs. George Karl. I'll take two fistfulls of rings in this one.

All I have to say is that I'm glad Anthony didn't show up for the 2nd half. Denver's home win streak stopped at 16.
