The Official Lakers Thread

LA's starting to open things up a little bit before halftime. It'd be nice to extend the game to double digits before the intermission.

LA screwed up over the final minutes. I'm still happy to see Bynum contributing as much as he has the 2 games he's been back.

The Lakers won tonight, if you hadn't heard.

So they get Utah in the 1st round, that'll go what 5 games; maybe???

The rockets and mavs game is a little more interesting now, but im off topic now and all I really want to say is.... I want to see PortlandvsLA in a 7 game war. It would be good for the soul

I would have rather played the Mavericks, but the Jazz will do. I would like to see Jerry Sloan do well, but not this year. I'll say 5 games.

Jazz Coach Jerry Sloan - "We didn't give them much of a battle and, knowing that we're going to have to play them again, it looks pretty bleak," Sloan said. "Hate to say that, but it's one of those things."

It's great to see Brown and Ariza contributing well. I think a postseason run could hinge some on whether Ariza can step up and be a great glue guy. Every eventual champion has someone like that.

There's a reason why Sloan is one of the more well respected coaches in the NBA. He tells it like it is.

Well, there's also his multiple division championships and trips to the NBA finals, as well as his 1,000+ wins over three decades of coaching in the Association......but, yeah, the main reason he's respected is because he tells it like it is.

Most likely 6 now. They couldn't hit a shot at all last night. Ariza's good shooting from Utah didn't carry over to last night.

Great game last night. It was a war of attrition in the 4th quarter. That was the type of game that realistic title contenders have to win.
