The Official Lakers Thread

You seriously are the biggest hater ever.

I just call it like I see it.

7 rebounds, and 8 assists...this is the side of Kobe the Lakers want to see.

Oh, and Kobe played very well last night. 30 on 18 shots. That's exactly what they want out of him.

But it is weird that Brown benched him yesterday, because he was having a decent game.

Kobe's game against the Clipps was awesome. I disagree with the notion that he's been carrying his team, but that night he definitely did.

:p

There's not really much to say since he is legitimately counted among the league's elite players. D Wade has played at an elite level for 6 of the last 7 seasons. Kobe has played at an elite level for just 1 of the last 7 seasons.

Interestingly, Kobe is currently having the best season of his career. He went back to his old ways last night.

I don't think there is any decent argument to be made that would put Bosh in the top 10. He's a star in the tradtional sense, but he's just not that dominant like a Love or Barkley.

There is an argument for Chandler and Noah...they are dominant in a less traditional sense. They are efficient metric guys. It boils down to whether or not you accept the efficiency argument. I really doubt anybody outside of Bosh's family would say Bosh is a top 10 player.

Bosh is around 13-25. He has the skills and size to be a serious problem for anyone in the league. But really never really dominates. Capable of 30 & 10 on any given night though.

hahahaha

when watching the highlights on espn last night, the guy goes "Kobe keeps scoring, yet the lakers keep losing"

Kobe had an OK game, and played well in the 4th, but I see this constant theme with the Lakers...if they underachieve everyone looks at Pau. Nobody on the team had a good game. This is why they lost.

Athletic wing player. We currently don't have one as Artest and Kobe are aging. We could use some speed and quickness at every spot, but really in the backcourt.

That type of player has been missing since he left. Ariza himself may not be a dominating player for us if he were here (probably not). But the type of player he was would help our team.
