See, being a fan is supposed to be about being biased. Biased in FAVOR of your own team, not against it. Looking for ways to say good things about the team, not bad things. Building it up where possible, rather than tearing it down. Not the coach. The team, the program.

You make some very good points there. But the part I highlighted was made very easy by the bumbling, fumbling, inept CJP.

I have been biased in favour of my VOLS longer than a lot of people here have been alive. Still am biased towards them. But when i see inept coaches running around doing the football equivalents of red noses, floppy shoes, and wearing turtle „masks“ around their necks instead of in their face, I will call it what it looks like , a CLOWN SHOW. You think the VOLS Are HELPED by people putting their heads in the sand and pretending everything is fine? That is called ENABLING, and it helps no one (except the rest of the SEC)

Try 6-6. That's what this year's results would likely be if you took away one Power 5 opponent and added three cupcake games. No guarantee, but that's the most likely translation to normal years.

Don't get me wrong, 6-6 is not good. In year three, a good coach is not getting 6-6 results. Jeremy Pruitt & Co failed this season.

But don't get too enamored of the way 3-7 sounds. It's too misleading.

Georgia State was a cupcake and Pruitt got shellacked by them (At home) in year 2. There are no givens with this coach. He’s beyond bad. Also, Covid is not a virus confined to the state of Tennessee. That excuse is tired.

If this investigation plays out the wrong way getting rid of CJP will be the least of our worries. It has the potential of getting CJP, all of his staff, Fulmer and who knows whom else plus sanction on top of that so that would make hiring a replacement with any upside almost impossible.

I hate to tell you this but after the 20 th Century people have discovered that they can think for themselves now. No one is making fun of the hardships of the program but just do not subscribe to excuses or mediocrity.

Since you seem to think that there are excuses for everything, what is you reasoning for us winning the first two games. Those two wins do not fit your narrative. Why are they outstanding from this season’s performance?

I sincerely hope our team is not identifying with excuses but on improving and that was something that never happened with this team. We were no better against aTm than we were against USC.

Deerpark usually don't get into the coaching stuff. I may be wrong about AV on this, but several in here have said he's dropped hints about Freeze, but that's other posters saying it. I do know as far as him, he was 100% wrong on everything about gruden, and beaver. I'm basically being petty, and I shouldn't. I just think, my opinion, if you're gonna claim to be in the know, at least be right some times. Go back in this thread, the freeze thread, look at how many claims there was. I just know this: I personally hate the grind of thinking and reading negative, negative, negative things over and over and over again all day every day about the team I love.

It does not have to be this way. We could talk about something other than our head coach. There's a whole lot more to a football program, and a surprising amount of it is good...or at least leaves room for hope. But we'll continue to dwell on whatever's worst, again tomorrow. And the next day. And the day after.

What makes you clowns so sure that the investigation is centered around Pruitt? It seems to be focused on a couple of other coaches. Remembers, this investigation started with our Compliance Program, not the NCAA or the SEC.

Doubt that. If really bad and Tennessee fires Pruitt and staff members involved in cheating. Then likely bowl ban self imposed for a year will suffice. The NCAA has shown here lately they arent clamping down on universities as much as going after coaches involved with show causes. So Pruitt would get one. I doubt we get any sanctions at all but Tennessee like many universities trying to get out front do the self inflicted bowl ban tops. Probably less like next few next coach gets less official visits or phone calls. Minor stuff that still registers as a NCAA penalty.

I've seen him be wrong. Not hating on the guy, don't know if I've ever had an exchange with him. I just think some people like the power high they get by random people on a message board hanging on their every word. So they keep it up, to have that "it" when they post.
