Volfan28 was trying to, I don't know, convince everyone to drop this conversation because obviously CJP will be back for another year, to which I simply replied that, no, I will not be convinced that he's coming back until we see him making hires to replace coaches who have been fired, or leave on their own, or who's contract runs out.

And at that point, if he does make hires, then it will be painfully obvious that he's here another year, and the buyout(s) just got more expensive, as you stated.

Actually, I did get the context and was just piggybacking off your comment regarding if Pruitt starts making coaching hires. I’m not convinced he will stay, but, one never knows.

Until he is allowed to hire replacement assistants, I think it's still open. I believe they are waiting for the investigation to determine if they keep Pruitt, fire for cause, or somewhere in between.

I'll stay hopeful cornbread is fired until I see assistants are hired

And what's over? His coaching stint at UT or is the whole drama over i.e. he's coming back for sure.

Or is he over like a wrestler being over with the crowd. Which you may say clearly he's not over with the crowd...unless you mean as a heel. As a heel Pruitt is definitely over.

That’s what I heard and what two other posters on 247 have heard too. Up until last night, they were going to can him but he somehow convinced people that his plan is good snd promised to not be a micromanager. SNAFU: Situation Normal, All F***ed Up

Says its over. Like the NCAA investigation is over. Or Pruitts tenure as Tennessee's head coach is over? Or the power struggle from who is trying to get him removed is over and he is coming back? I have read so many things on here that are all over the place. A phrase like "It's Over!" Is vague on Volnation. 😆
