I don't think you followed the context of what I replied to. You are correct, the longer we put this off, the more it will cost.

Volfan28 was trying to, I don't know, convince everyone to drop this conversation because obviously CJP will be back for another year, to which I simply replied that, no, I will not be convinced that he's coming back until we see him making hires to replace coaches who have been fired, or leave on their own, or who's contract runs out.

And at that point, if he does make hires, then it will be painfully obvious that he's here another year, and the buyout(s) just got more expensive, as you stated.
I'm with you, let's do this now.

Since it’s obvious the “insiders” are incorrect about today, here’s my prediction on their excuses:
1) they didn’t want to steal the basketball team’s thunder
WHEN VOLS WIN TONIGHT
2) they’re going to let the celebrations continue and announce next week
IF VOLS LOSE TONIGHT
3) they’re going to try and steal the spotlight from the loss, announcement should happen tomorrow or Friday!
—TOMORROW/FRIDAY COMES—
3.5) well with it being New Year’s Eve/Day, they’re going to wait till next week...
