The Official It Was A Good Call Thread

It was a bad call because the majority of us have eyes that work.

You on the other hand, either need to get your eyes checked, or just admit how much of a troll you are.

Show me the Gif...he put himself in the situation. In a game like this you CAN NOT lower your shoulder to go through two people.

He lowered his shoulder. The officiating was bad all the way around. For example, the ball was out on Maymon, still went to Tennessee.

It was a nice flop that sealed the deal. You don't blow a whistle at that point in the game unless it is an egregious foul. This one wasn't.

All around it was a good called game. I'm just so proud that our Vols had enough grit and determination to come back from 15 down with 10 minutes left after getting dominated the whole game. At that point in the game with 10 minutes left I told my brother wouldn't it be something if they came back and won! I said that would have been one of the top comebacks in recent tournament history. I was just joking but I'll be damned they bout did it! Congrats on a good season Volunteers. Keep your head up and think about next year. Just think the way Stokes bulled over that guy what kind of TE he would be for the football team! Man I hope he stays!

I'll just repeat what I posted in the thread below:

OP, we don't have a more money play in the book than the ball in Stokes hands moving left to right across the lane with a size advantage against his man. That's a right handed baby hook for 2 and maybe the foul 9 times out of 10, the perfect play call down 1 with the ball OB off the left block.

The surprise double team was what blew it up, but even then, JS didn't lower his shoulder so much as turn it sideways to split the double team. He did try to make himself a little smaller to squeeze through the double but did not attempt to lower and ram his way through a player in such a way that would warrant an offensive foul. That was just a flop and the ref bought it.

They doubled down like that the entire game. That play was not a money play TONIGHT. Should have went with the hot hand in Jordy or Josh.

It was a bad call, however, ball never went out of bounds so it was their ball anyway.

However we could have fouled fast and had a shot.

Bad call still ended up hurting us.

I agree it should have been a no call and Michigan with the ball.

I thought he had called a block on Michigan. I was hoping Stokes could make the free throws. Those six free throws we missed turned out to be huge.

Yeah I know. I think Michigan only missed what like 1 or 2? If only they had a couple of great shooters.

You and patrick need to get a room, since you both seem to obsessed with "class".

not obsessed with it, just would like for people such as yourself to show it when someone has a differing opinion than you. No need at all for any type of name calling. Simple as that.

Dude, you're trolling. It's quite simple. Stop acting like you're just wanting some "serious debate" about it.

I don't show class to trolls.

Solid input. Just...Simply...Solid

It was a bad call. The announcer even thought it was a bad call. The ref decided the outcome of the game simple as that. You can suck up to the call all you want but it was a bad call! At worst it was a 50/50 call and with 10 seconds to go you don't decide the game on a 50/50 call. The ref shouldn't be allowed to officiate another tournament game.
