The Official It Was A Good Call Thread

Florida Game....Just Stated and Young went to the floor put there on the dribble by Dayton player...that was a good "No Call" then said CCM would agree with you but it was a good No Call.

The Refs must have gotten the word out.

Ugh. Like twisting the knife. Everyone knows they botched it.

40 likes for this? Just because it was a flop doesn't mean it wasn't a foul.

Interesting, please watch the replay and explain how Stokes committed a charging foul while moving sideways and having Morgan run into his back. I'll hang up and listen.

That's a horrendous call on Jarnell Stokes. Give Jordan Morgan credit for getting the call but no way was that a charge.

I keep posting these hoping it will make me feel better (it's not working).

Not to mention Jalen Rose thanking the refs on his twitter. It was a bad call. It didn't cost UT the game, but it was a horrible call at that stage of the game.

Don't be jealous cause it would take u 2 1/2 yrsto get those likes. Just quit troll'en and throw in some subjectivity.

Horrible call, should have been a blocking foul, and Stokes should have went to the line for free throws. However, had Jordan Mcrae made more than half his free throws, it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway. The no call foul against UM in the first half was huge too, because it slowed UTs run they were making. You don't almost knock down a 280 lb man of all muscle, and make him throw it away, and it not be a foul.

Was it a good call tonight to

No, you've got to let them play on. Wisconsin player belly bumped the Arizona player and then got pushed off. Probably a no call, but the way game have been officiated with the "new rules" that belly bump has been a foul 9 out of 10 times. Again, I think you let them play.

Someone tweeted that maybe there should be a compilation of all the horrible ref calls during the tourney and it could be set to "One Sh*tty Moment".

Block/charge is one of the hardest calls in sports. But if that's going to be a charge, the refs are basically saying that nobody can back down in the post and turn to the middle across a defender's high shoulder. Despite the sales job, the contact was Stokes' left shoulder going across the defender's left shoulder. The defender just moved after Stokes had committed to go right. It was the classic "get your feet down and flop" move which supposedly was outlawed this season.

Actually if Stokes kicks to McRae at the top of the key when the double team comes the lane was wide open and McRae made a living going to the rim in the second half.

This, Stokes needed to kick it out or never taken the initial pass.

The exact same thing hasn't been called in other games but it's called in this one when the game is on the line. Let the players decide the game not the refs. Should've been a no call, IMO.

Face it. It's not an excuse, it's reality. Luck plays a role.

If your theology posits God deciding every roll of the dice, rather than just interceding in important or requested moments, then attribute accordingly. (Just please don't tell us from your mortal, finite vantage why the Omniscient Almighty chose as He did. You only insult Him.)

If the ref had a different angle, I'm sure he would have seen Stokes' shoulder passing between the defenders and not have called a charge. As posted, in the course of a game there's a hundred other "coulda been different" moments.

Whether you call it luck, Satan's mischief, or God's will, it's part of the game (and life) and shouldn't be blamed on coaches or players... or refs with insufficient angles though not out-of-position.
