The Official Indianapolis Colts Thread

Irsay said on his twitter today he has not been to Florida (where it was reported he interviewed Tressel) I doubt very very very seriously it will be Tressel. He also stated there would be a coach in place by mid to late next week.

Irsay's kinda weird about what he says through twitter though, isn't he?

I agree he is, but it's also refreshing because he actually keeps the fans updated on what's going on. This one was not one of those cryptic messages where you have to try to figure out what he is saying. He was straight forward with that one.

But did he deny interviewing Tressel? I think that's more important than the location.

On this morning's DP Show, Tony Dungy said he thinks Jim Tressel is the guy in Indy.

FWIW...

No he did not, I really don't see him hiring Tressel.

I heard that, I am not sure Dungy has many if any connections left in Indy.

I really don't have an opinion one way or the other on the hiring.

I do, however, hope he sucks. :salute:

Manning has had good success against the Ravens over the years. I wonder whether this would have any impact on the Colts decision on what to do with him, i.e. would the head coach be more likely to want to keep him at least one more year rather than release him. Surely, that was the first issue that was discussed in his interview.

Irsay has said this decision will be his and Peyton's and no one else.

Do you think he's already made his decision then? Seems like he would want to see how Manning works out in Feb./March before making a final decision.

Maybe Manning has already made his decision - he wants a release.
