The Official Indianapolis Colts Thread

Do you think he's already made his decision then? Seems like he would want to see how Manning works out in Feb./March before making a final decision.

Maybe Manning has already made his decision - he wants a release.

I don't think a decision has been made, I believe Irsay wants Peyton back and if you take him at his word he has stated if he is healthy Peyton will be a Colt next season.

Read nothing but positive things about Pagano.

So strange to have Gary Kubiak as the most tenured HC in the AFC South.

best quote "he comes from the Ray Lewis coaching tree" in reference to all the Ravens DCs who have gotten HC positions.

That's funny.

Ray Lewis is one of the best LB's of all time, but I'd say Ed Reed is a better safety than Ray is an LB. Also, I'd say Ngata is the best player on that D today.

Peyton has played his last game as a Colt. They are in complete rebuild mode and have no shot at a Super Bowl run even if he is healthy enough to play. No way they pay him 28 mil when March rolls around.

If he is traded(which isn't likely given his salary and health concerns) I would hope that he lands with a decent team. The more likely scenario is he will released.

It's a sad ending to his run with the Colts but hopefully he will suit up again with a solid team and have the opportunity to win it all for a second time. Also, as a Titans fan first and foremost, I can't lie that not having to play a Manning led squad twice a season doesn't bring a smile to my face.

Oh, and Irsay is complete trash for whining to the media about Manning's comments. /end rant.

Gotta say that I like (really, dislike) the coaching staff Indy is putting together. Kind of going the opposite direction of what they've had in Dungy and Caldwell. Pagano is supposed to be a tough guy and is bringing in Arians for the OC and the Steelers LB coach for the DC. Going to be some growing pains in the transition to the 3-4 and with a rookie QB, but long term it makes the Colts very intriguing. Well, I assume they're moving to the 3-4 with both Pagano and the Steelers guy coming in, but I haven't read that. If that happens, does Freeney move to OLB?

Good. With Luck, Steelers-Midwest, and the 3-4, my hate for the Colts will continue for the forseeable future. I'm glad the Titans got a one year head start on the rebuilding project. :)

Hired Bruce Arians as OC, he was Peyton's QB coach when he came in the league and also Ben R when he came in so he has a good record working with young QBs

Pagano said he would not try to fit a square peg into a round hole, so the 3-4 is coming though it may not be immediate. He said he could see Mathis and Freeney as OLB. This may save Jerry Hughes' career. I am excited to see some D played in the dome and some physical football. There will be some growing pains but it should payoff in the future.

Less than a week HS. :)

Yeah, you going back to Wayne? Or is Andrew Luck in your avatar's future?

Thanks for playing, BTW.

I have found a Luck over Lucas Oil Stadium image I am going with I think.

No prob, it was a fun bet even though it didn't turn out in my favor.

Heard that the Ravens were going to hire Jim Caldwell as their QB coach. Maybe he can ruin Flacco, call stupid time-outs and give Curtis Painter a job there.

Just read the negotiations between Mathis and the Colts are "heating up". I hope they can get this done, I can't wait to see Mathis in the 3-4 D
