The Colts are mismanaging this like crazy, everyone knows Peyton won't play this season you might as well IR him and give his roster spot to another player that can help you now.

That's Polian for you, that's what he does. He done the same thing with Bob Sanders a few seasons ago. I predict he will put Peyton on IR about week 12

Speaking of IR, Bullitt has been placed on IR (for the second straight season) he is our new Bob Sanders. Brackett has been also but who cares, he is terrible especially against the run. He may never play for the Colts again, at least I can hope.

I'd say Brackett deserves a little better than that. Played a lot of good years for the Colts.

Angerer will be better than Brackett by the end of the year. Colts need to look hard at all of their younger guys this year. Then start the major rebuilding job next year.

Yeah, I'm not saying Brackett was great, but he gave us a lot of good years, under rough circumstances. His job would've been a lot easier against the run had the Colts ever designed the DL to defend against the run. He was clever, and a good leader, IMO.

You maybe right. He did give us some good years and was a great leader.

I wanted Collins at first because I thought he could lead this team to a 7-9ish record. I was clearly wrong so now I say let Painter play the rest of the season no matter what happens.

Might have been since the Painter/Purdue connection HSVOL but almost every Colt fan around here wanted either Painter or Farve. It's going to be a long season regardless of if it's Curtis or Kerry so I say give Painter a shot to run the team. I mean we have kept him as the backup for 3 years so if he's not capable or ready to take over then it's more the coaching staff than Painter in my books.
