The Official Indianapolis Colts Thread

Our offensive personnel is as good as it's ever been. Not better than the Colts w/ Peyton, but definitely better than the Colts w/o Peyton.

so the titans are better than a team with no QB? Shooting for the stars I see

Equivalent QB this year than what we had in 2008 when we went 13-3. Maybe better. Defense was much better that year, but the offense is probably better.

Hass has looked really good so far.

You do realize it is preseason right and teams don't scheme or game plan? The Titans are a bad team, best case for you all is 6-10

We'll see. I think folks are sleeping on the team from Nashville. Our offensive personnel is as good as it's ever been. Not better than the Colts w/ Peyton, but definitely better than the Colts w/o Peyton. WRs are dependent on the QB. Look what happened to the Cardinals when Kurt Warner left. The Colts w/o Peyton aren't any better than the Cardinals from last year.

2011 Colts vs 2010 Cardinals comparison = Same situation with the WRs (elite pass-catchers), same situation with the OL (below average, except for Saturday), same situation with the RBs (below average). The defense has some nice pieces, but is historically bad, especially without a healthy Bob Sanders. The Cardinals D was pretty similar to the Colts, although the Colts DEs are better than the Cards, but the Cards' secondary is a lot better than the Colts'.

2011 Colts = 2010 Cardinals

2010 Titans > 2010 Cardinals

Therefore...:birgits_giggle:

Cards have 1 elite pass catcher, Colts have several. You do know that Peyton will only miss a couple of games if any and not the entire season? So Colts>>>>>>>Cards
2010 Titans = 2011 Titans

Fitz is currently a lot better than Wayne who is in decline, Breaston (now with the Chiefs) is equal to the Colts #2. Clark and Tamme are far and away better than the Cards TEs. On no other team would Austin Collie (who can't stay on the field) or Pierre Garcon be considered great players. Blair White looks good because of Peyton. Anthony Gonzales? Never healthy, essentially a non-factor even when healthy. Still no running game.

You do remember that it took Peyton 6 games to get warmed up in 2008 when he was out with a knee problem, right? What makes you think it'll be any different three seasons later?

2011 Titans are better than the 2010 edition for a number of reasons, two being primary: (1.) No Chuck Cecil. (2.) No Vince Young.

6-10 could happen, but it is not best case by any means.

Anyway, this is the Colts thread. Let's continue to talk about how much they will suck with no PM. :)

You do remember Peyton won the MVP that year right?
Addai is also a stud receiver out of the backfield. Garcon is a burner and Collie was the leading receiver in the nation in college and last year was the first time he has missed time.

Started 3-4 and really struggled out of the gate. Then he picked the team up on his shoulders and earned the MVP award because of his will to win. He really earned it, but they still started 3-4 and were a wild card. Now they're in a similar situation. There is serious doubt whether or not he'll be back in time for week one and he's also coming off a bad season by his standards. It's obvious that Peyton is starting to decline.

Please don't tell me you're using Austin Collie's college stats to justify why he should be a great pro receiver. Multiple concussions are no good and when he gets rocked on a crossing route he'll be out again.

I'll never count the Colts out. I think they're very vulnerable and, because they've put all their eggs in the PM basket (and who wouldn't), their dominance in the division has an expiration date that is getting closer.

Getting closer, yes. But unfortunately for the other 3 teams in the division we have not reached that date yet. If throwing for 4700 yards is him declining and with all the injuries they had, I will take it. I will take a 50% Peyton over any other QB at 100% in this division.

This was a fun little preseason game

Really needs to be some rule to allow preseason games to end in a tie after the 4th
