The Official Indianapolis Colts Thread

Do I have to be the one who looks stupid or like a jerk and says this? Fine, as much as I genuinely dislike doing so:

No, Coker actually won a championship

so perhaps not the best comparison (understand the meaning here though)

Caldwell day-dreamed while watching a talented team blow a super bowl just like when Coker day-dreamed and somehow watched his ridiculous talented team blow a Fiesta bowl.

yeah, I did make note of not being serious on this and that I was just putting it out before someone else would later do so.

I get your comparison example, but i think that there's likely a better one

Glad I brought the laughs, seriously though over/under on how many years before Caldwell is fired?

he'll make it through another whole season. Whether or not the team makes the playoffs that year though should effect how much longer he'd have

Without trying to sound like a homer. If they can make the playoffs this year, I don't see them not making it as long as Peyton is behind center.

If either the Jags or Titans had a half way decent roster you guys wouldn't have made it this year.

I always say if; there's too much parity in this league...I know a good or great QB gets you in every year, but there are also plenty of times the wrong injury happens and team that should doesn't, so on

(I talked to someone here just about how hard in general it was for teams to repeat in the super bowl, especially oddly the losing team)

but yeah, manning there - I do have a hard time not seeing them as pretty often playoff regulars...if he's fired it might be a more "Schottenheimer-esque"...winning team but the owner upset with the playoff record (though the way the Chargers did it, it was still quite highly controversial)

They couldn't make it with the Colts missing Collie, Clark, Brown, Addai(returned the last game), Brackett, multiple OL, Bob Sanders, Bullitt. Just to name a few.

Those rosters will have to improve drastically.

have fun, you might be walking into a hornets nest

I know I did but this has been the weakest Indy has ever been. The division was ours for the taking but we decided to implode down the stretch. If we had just went out and did our job we would be in the playoffs.

Caldwell's explanation for the timeout;

I didn’t care. I was going to make sure that they couldn’t. Make them snap the ball. They were in field goal range. We wanted to try to make them snap the ball as many times as they possibly could.”
