The Official Indianapolis Colts Thread

you do know though the Colts only beat the Ravens by 2 points last time - like 17-15

neither are great matchups, but the jets might go better

True, but the Jets seem to be in a groove and are gelling at the right time.

Not to mention remember what happened last time a WC winner came into Indy after beating the Bengals, and the Colts were the number 1 seed in a season they flirted with perfection.

colts played them like 2 weeks ago and really were winning till the starters came out

i think it works alot better for indy b/c they have a good enough passing game as far as QBs and multiple receivers (including TE) that the one WR they lose to "revis island" isn't a horrible loss like it was to the bengals to have ochocinco shut down

if anything, the colts had run game defense problems right? I'd think ray rice would be much more of a concern then

I'm not saying the Ravens are an easy matchup. Both Jets and Ravens have great defense and great running games, and could probably give the Colts fits.

For some reason, I've just got a gut feeling that I'd much rather see the Ravens than the Jets.

Ravens scare the **** out of me.

I would rather play the Jets, but I am not scared to play the Ravens. The Colts have owned the Ravens. The Ravens are good, no question about that, but the Colts are better. The key will be to stack the line and make Flacco beat us, which I don't believe he can.

And go Jets.

wait, the colts beat them 17-15, how is that "owning" them?

one way or another, you shouldn't feel more comfortable against a team who you just beat this season vs playing a team you almost were about to blow out till you took out your starters....doesn't matter how many out of the last how many times you say you've beaten them; playoff matchups are all about how teams are playing this season, not about history, and you're kinda getting a team that's coming in pretty hot

I'm not a Colt hater. But I'm not a fan either.

Just pointing out what a difference series history made LAST game the Ravens played... Which was none. They are playing very well right now. Great clock management and defense. That's difficult to beat.

I'm also a bit disgusted with the Colts organization for not trying to go undefeated, and I'm a firm believer that cooling your heels going into the playoffs is always a mistake. I predict we're about to find that out.

Believe me, if they did finish the season 16-0, you can be damned sure I'd be rooting for them to see it through and finish what the Pats couldn't do. I'd LOVE to see Peyton come through and succeed where Brady and CBB failed, that'd be some real justice (except if they ended up meeting my Cowboys in the SB :) )

As it stands, they're not undefeated, and I don't really care whether or not they make it through, and to be honest with you, I very seriously doubt they're going to be able to beat the Ravens and the Chargers consecutively.

I have to say the Ravens played an impressive game. Not a Ravens fan but was cheering for them to beat the Pats (Sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for huh?)

I was disgusted as well. I don't think it is fair to the players or the fans or even the other teams.

:good!: Completely agree!! Well except for the Cowboys part...lol

I would love to see them make it to the SB and win it but I am also not convinced they can pull off the next 2 wins. Keeping my fingers crossed but also trying to be realistic.

The Ravens are a good team, could they beat the Colts? Sure. The Jets and Ravens are pretty hot right now. This Ravens D is not as good as before when the Colts put up some pretty big numbers on them, if Flacco thinks he will throw for 34 yards and beat us, he is in for a long day. I like our team and our chances to advance.

I was not aware the Chargers have already beat the Jets, sorry I missed that game.

I like the Colts chances, this is the playoffs and no win will be easy. But I am also very relieved we don't have to see the Pats. The Colts as capable as anyone to win it all.

The same ones who are saying that the Colts history against the Ravens does not matter are all to quick to bring up the Chargers win over us the last couple of seasons. Which is it guys, does history matter or not?
