The Official Denver Broncos Thread

I like Malik. I could see him rotating into DT during passing downs to get more penetration. And he could rotate in for Doom during running downs.

Other than that, I would've drafted differently. It's not like I think all these guys would bust, but based on who we drafted and who was available I would've went:

2. Reyes
2. Hayward
3. Lamar Miller (keep the 87)
4. Omar Bolden
4. Greg Childs (traded away)

I'm fine with Bolden, Blake, and Jackson.

But it never goes how you want it. I'd give it a C though as is.

I agree. Other than Wolfe, I really don't like thier first 3 picks.

As Denver tries to extend Clady, I've seen commentators mentioning how Clady has struggled because of an increase in sacks and penalties. I don't agree with that at all. He might have regressed from the best LT out there, to just a very good one, but he's far from suckitude. Again, it's bothersome how little these people watch games. This isn't baseball. Stats do lie.

This is a solid article talking about the same thing:
Statistics Don't Tell Story for Ryan Clady - NYTimes.com

Finally got to catch some of a replay of the game. Peyton looked good for the short series he was in. I hope he plays a little more in the next three preseason games, but if not I want to see more of the rookie Brock Osweiler. He looked good as well, better than Hanie.

Osweiler has the tools to be a successful QB IMO. Being Peyton's under study for a few years won't hurt

Yeah, the Broncos look good. Manning might have lost some zip, but it doesn't really matter. Bradshaw really just broke it down really well, about his high release.

I'm slightly offended that the Broncos are being picked against with more love going to the Chiefs. The Broncos looked great in the preseason. Manning looked fine, and Cassel is still Cassel. Seriously, he was terrible last year.
