I think unless Peyton aggravated the nerve injury to his neck or arm at some point during season, then he's been hiding some other injury the second half of season on through to today. It's not like he got old or lost all his talent halfway through the year.
He hasn't played this poorly all season. Again, unless it's the nerve issue, I think he can come back next year.
LULZ, Sanders was open on fade routes all game.
Peyton is awesome. Maybe the greatest. This game was on him. It's not even a choke job he just can't physically do it anymore.
So anyone think that Wisconsin RB will still be available by the time Denver picks ? If they fail to get a decent set of RBs, I think PM might retire.
There's a decent change we just saw PM play his last game. I think he was physically incapable of throwing the ball deep down the field in the second half. The silence from Nantz and Simms on that point was deafening; it was like they couldn't or wouldn't say anything about it.
As for Denver as a team, I kind of feel bad for Elway. He had the right idea about improving the defense through a better pass rush, but it's like their rushers fell apart in the final third of the season. Now if Peyton is gone, where do they go from here?
