Manning choked. I honestly can not believe the Broncos are going to lose to the Bungles. Sad. I seriously think Peyton needs to think about retirement.

I realize they've made the effort not to make an issue of it but Peyton doesn't look "right" to me. The INT by Jones just looked like a case of "He didn't see him." that happens sometimes. Bad throw. And to some extent the numbers don't look that bad...he completed 63.6% of his passes for 311 yards. But you can tell they don't really want him to have to throw. Going back over the last 4 games before tonight his biggest output was 257y against the Dolphins. IDK, maybe the weather played a factor...all I know is that lately some of his throws just don't look like what I'd expect from him.
Still, let's not get carried away. We are after all still talking about the guy with the #3 passer rating in the league.

It's mentioned every time the Broncos are brought up. Not sure how they are making an effort not to make an issue out of it.
Sorry for being ambiguous...I meant Peyton or the Broncos. In the general sense it's been brought up often by people making similar observations to mine. Peyton is "supposedly" fine...he just doesn't really seem to always look that way of late.
Everywhere I read it's how Peyton isn't fine. How he's not throwing the deep ball and his passes aren't crisp. Everyone seems to know that age and surgery has taken it's toll on him. The Broncos are just like, "Well, we cut Tebow so it's our only option right now."
Yep. Obviously Manning isn't the type to make excuses and I haven't personally run across anything linked to the Broncos stating anything is wrong (other than him being sick recently) but there's no shortage of people where the "eye test" just doesn't look right over the last several weeks.
There's nothing good to come out of the Broncos announcing that Peyton has lost velocity and arm strength, so why would they formally do it?
Wasn't positing they should...just stating that (and apparently you agree) regardless of whatever isn't being said, or even outright denied, by Manning/Broncos Peyton just doesn't look "right" in recent weeks.
I don't think he's looked right all year. He still knows how to work the ball though so he can still put up numbers. Teams have figured it out though and are defending it better now. That's making his throwing issues more apparent imo. The Broncos are "admitting it" with their change of play offensively.
Manning's arm is toast. It's both completely saddening, but simultaneously a testament to his greatness as a QB. He has easily the worst arm I've ever seen, and he's still a top 5 QB in the league. How is that possible?
I think the best way to summarize the Broncos heading into the playoffs is that of the top teams, they are the team most capable of laying an egg in any given game.
The other teams are beatable, but you would be surprised to see the Patriots come out and play a terrible game. Same for Packers and Seahawks.
Denver is just as likely to show up and not be able to score as they are to put 40 in the board. It's a weird thing with that team. I don't like their chances of doing much. However, if they can avoid the Patriots, they have a path to the Super Bowl if they play well.
Peyton Manning is 0-4 in playoff games below 40 degrees.
