Would be a good move if it weren't Danny Ainge pulling the trigger.

It's time to rebuild, best players are well over 30 and the top two teams in the East are out their league.

Might as well trade Allen and KG too.

Moving Rondo I'm fine w/ but I do not want Pierce to be on any other team.

Allen & KG are Free Agents at the end of the season. Ainge will just keep them & let their contracts run out at the end of the season.

He is trying to clear all that money off w/ Allen, KG, Rondo, & Pierce so he can make a run at a few big time Free Agents this offseason.

I think Dominique Wilkins was the last big free agent tre Celtics signed and he was old.

Why let KG and Allen walk? Get a couple picks at least.

Why would you want to see Pierce play out the rest if his career on a terrible team?

I'm not sure the Celtics could pull off getting picks for KG and Allen. Nobody in the NBA could absorb KG's 20 million and only two or three could absorb Allen's 10 million. So unless the Celtics want to take back a bad contract, not a lot of options to get an expiring contract in return. Plus, I would only trade a 1st for them if I were planning on playing in the championship. I would not give up a top 25 pick for a 36 year old that's a one year rental. Unless it's Steve Nash, then maybe.

If the Celtics can get a pick and an expiring contract, then yeah, they should consider trading them. I just wouldn't take back a bad contract to do it. They'd be better off trying to re-sign them cheap and putting more pieces around them. No way they'll combine to make 30 million a season when they sign their new contracts. KG making 20 million is absurd and Allen making 10 million is pretty ridiculous too. I might give KG 10 and Allen 5 for their new contracts.

Yeah, not a big Pierce fan, and he's a bit overrated. Ray Allen totally deserved that Finals MVP, but Pierce is the hometown hero.

C's have won 3 in a row, granted it hasn't been against good competition. They are 7th in the East right now. They have finally gotten a little healthy. They have a big West Coast trip coming up.

Wow!!!! What a game against the Knicks today, kept going back & forth.

Rondos stat line was ridiculous: 18 points, 17 rebounds, & 20 assists.

Yet Danny Ainge wants to trade him! IDIOT!

Pierce had 34 points & hit a game tying 3 to send it into OT.

I'm beginning to think those "rumors" we're a stunt by Boston mgmt to motivate rondo and the rest of the team.

Celtics drop the Rockets in OT tonight to win their 5th straight. Boston had so many chances to put it away in regulation but let it get into OT & almost gave it up in the last 2 minutes of OT.

Rondo had another double-double & Pierce had 30pts.

Have a crucial West Coast road trip coming up.

Chris Wilcox may be out for the rest of the season w/ a heart issue, almost the same way Green is out.

Rondo has suffered a eye injury, bright light bothers him & gives him migranes.

All that depth we had is now gone. Losing Green, Wilcox, & O'Neal has killed us.

W/ that being said, the C's are 1.5 games back from the division lead which would put them 4th in the East.
