The Official Boston Celtics Thread

Celtics lose again bad tonight against the Hornets, this team is just old old old & w/ no real depth. After this year Ainge is going to have another rebuilding job.

I think the Celts will be fine once The Truth comes back

I hope so. We are def missing is production right now. I think our starting lineup can compete w/ almost anyone, except for us getting worn down easy b/c of age. We just dont have enough quality depth right now to compete for the East.

Looks like the Celts got the better end of the Bass trade

How so? Big baby is doing what he is meant to do. I have no problem with the trade on the Magics end as a Magic fan. Von Wafer has done his part too. It's not 10-20 points a game or anything but it's a change of pace. Big Baby gives the Magic a guy who has learned from KG. I think both teams won in this trade.

C's blowout the Nets tonight to improve to 4-3. Brandon Bass is beasting so far this season. Allen didnt play, he has the flu.

Pacers coming to Boston tonight to finish up a four game road trip. Would really like to wrap it up with a win but I see you guys are 3-0 at home. Looks like it won't be an easy task.

Getting close. This should be a fun one.

Celtics have the talent to smash the Pacers but given the difference in age, Pacers should have the advantage as far as stamina and athleticism goes. Knowing my luck, this will be the perfect time for the Celtics to show that age doesn't matter. KG and JO will go off like it's 2005. Roy Hibbert should lay waste to JO but I could just see the Celtics being super pumped up for this game. Aside from the Heat, I think this will be the best opponent both teams have faced.

JO showed up but KG, not so much. I liked KG early but the stories about his mentality have drawn me away. We'll see you guys again and while I'm not a fan of Boston in any sport, best of luck to you guys. We're guaranteed to see each other again during the season but playoffs are also a possibility. Maybe even in the first round as 4-5 seeds. Both teams are talented but we're on the opposite end of spectrum. Celtics are in a rut, old and aging. Pacers are young and learning a new system. Both have the ability to compete but at this point, both are inconsistent for different reasons. Boston because they lack size and have injuries aside from age and Pacers because they just don't know what it takes. Not surprising both are inconsistent early and I think both will hit their stride by seasons end. See you guys three more times.... maybe more if we meet each other in the playoffs. I really don't like Boston or KG/Rondo but I enjoy Allen/Pierce. See you guys down the road, maybe the playoffs. Must be nice knowing what it's like to be the best. I'm just happy my team is back to competing with em.

Celtics have finally gotten healthy & have realed off 8 wins in their last 9 games. Ray Allen has been shooting lights out & Pierce has been playing pretty good. Bass & Wilcox have been giving us a lot of quality minutes off the bench. We are still 2nd in the division behind the Sixers right now, & if the playoffs started today we would be a 7th seed.

Paul Pierce has a chance to surpass the great Larry Bird tonight on the All-Time Celtic Scoring list.

C's win tonight to make it 9 out of their last 10. Rondo had another double double.

Pierce surpassed Larry Bird on the Celtics All-Time Scoring list tonight, congrats to one of the greatest Celtics of All-Time. #TheTruth

Rondo had a triple-double yesterday against the Derek Rose-less Bulls, 32pts 15asts 10rbds.

C's won the game & remain a 7th seed as of right now. Bass, Dooling, & J. O'neal were out yesterday.

The rookie Johnson from Purdue has really looked good in his limited time the past few games.

I am anxious about what Ainge might do before the trade deadline, hoping for the best if there is a trade.

Idk if there will be much change, I think Doc & Ainge just really want this team to all be healthy at the same time.

I really hope we hold on to Bass for a couple seasons, he has been very very solid during his PT.
