Very excited for next season, portal is a bandaid, we got a bunch of freshman we haven’t even seen yet and a heck of an incoming class, so the draft is gonna be huge this year.

Proud of this team, lots of adversity faced head on.

I hate that the season is over because my mom and i both watch together since we both are now widows. It gave us something to look forward to. But now that the season is over im curious to see who leaves and who the coaches bring in via the portal. After the championship this is the best any team has done in recent seasons. We lost so much talent i think we overachieved to some degree. But give our coaches some major props for filling some holes and finding some players that could help us get as far as we did. Bottom line we went further than Candy.

You’re right, it is just facts. We didn’t show up, but I thought we would certainly be more competitive in this series than we were. That’s what is so disappointing to me. Looked like Arky was just there for batting practice.

I would categorize that as a non-competitive series. Started out 20-1, 8-1and then something broke. Whatever it was that broke, evidently it was unfixable. Bring in the recruits and lets do it again.

If you are not hitting the ball and you are not scoring runs, you are not winning. You are getting paid to hit and if you don't another playing who is also being paid to hit , needs to try his turn. What do you have to lose other than another ball game? When your pitchers are getting hit , you have to score runs or you lose like we have the last five weeks of the season and playoffs. Doing nothing wins nothing.

Pitching next year will be a complete overhaul but I have a lot of hope for the young talent in the lineup. With a core of Clark, Marin, Newstrom, and Abernathy, pick up a few strong portal bats and we could see the return of a much more consistent offense, albeit one that is still very young.

I think the biggest issue for next year is that Tony is going to have a very young and inexperienced roster again. It will be a talented one, but we aren’t going to have a lot of experience which tends to be what wins championships. Will be interesting to see how we handle that.

If Tennessee isn’t going to devote resources to baseball, there aren’t many schools that will. Football is the cash cow that pays for everything, even at schools that suck at it.

I think Miss st will probably sell out the most to win at baseball. The rest of the SEC should be fairly even
