Does anyone know what to expect from Arkansas’s starting pitcher Gage Wood? I couldn’t find that much about him. I know you guys kinda beat up on him in the regular season the one time, but he had a good outing helping Arkansas win their regional. I think I read he had 13 SO in 6 innings. I don’t remember who against though. Just curious and wondering if anyone had a good feel for him.

Great baseball weather today in Fayetteville. Sunny with a breeze 5-6 mph coming from the west, first base dugout to left center field. Dongs for the making. I am hoping for a Tennessee win with Liam keeing Arkansas to 3 runs and Tennessee bats waking up and scoring 7 runs. GBO!

We’ve made it this far with them struggling lately, we’ve got leaders. We just don’t need any more goose eggs from the AB’s unless they’ve drawn walks.

Doyle has to have a big day, but more than that we need some offense from Ensley and Bargo. Having our 3/4 hitters struggle is putting a lot of pressure on the rest of the lineup. I expect that after some of the antics from Arkansas yesterday our guys will be fired up and ready to respond, but the lineup needs to give some support to the pitching staff today so they don’t have to be near perfect.

I thought I heard a stat yesterday that Tennessee is like 140th in fielding and Arkansas is 4th in fielding….not making errors. True? If correct…that is why runs are so important to the Vols.
