I felt Arvidson was gassed at the end of the last inning, hence me questioning if you send him back out. I get TV wanting to limit the bullpen arms, but with a lead, I feel like the smart move was a fresh arm. Not sticking with a pitcher working on twice his longest outing of the season.

Arvidson should feel proud of his performance, instead his coach left him in a batter too long and now he feels down. Damn man

He still had an amazing performance. That hasn’t changed.

Arvidson was great. Sucks he committed the error. Tough decision on CTV to pull him or not. If he did, and the new pitcher gave up a run, everyone would be screaming “Why did you pull Arvidson when he was hot?” It was a tough call. I personally would have probably yanked him, but I don’t blame CTV for not.

Maybe some would but Arvidson was at 80+ pitches almost doubling his season high. I think most people would have understood the move, and been in support of the move, and not given Tony crap if it turned out poorly. That’s a lot of bullets on an arm that hasn’t been used to getting stretched that far.
