That is just brutal. I know Arvidson had been lights out, but he exceeded his season high pitch count by 30 pitches before this inning had even started. We got the lead….why would you not send out Snead??? Even with his struggles he’d be a better choice.

Totally giving a game away, had the batter in a two strike hole, runner not going to steal with nobody out, air mail a throw that never should have been made, the two strike batter plunks it into left field to tie the game up, nobody else plays this inconsistently, mistakes at this level are unacceptable, playing to win or just going through the motions?

Arvidson was great. Sucks he committed the error. Tough decision on CTV to pull him or not. If he did, and the new pitcher gave up a run, everyone would be screaming “Why did you pull Arvidson when he was hot?” It was a tough call. I personally would have probably yanked him, but I don’t blame CTV for not.
