Yeah, we won in truth, but perception creates reality and the striped shirts have the authority to shape perception with their game stealing call. Any result other than the Vols win because of more points at the end of regulation (bad call by ref not excused) is invalid. We'd have won in regulation if they don't call back Yves's tip slam for no apparent reason.
He laid a lot of open bricksBowden started his career as a shooter. Lately he has been just a defensive specialist and Vick seemed to be wide open when Bowden was guarding tonight. Can't blame the cough-up at the end on him. That just happens in basketball. Gonna be an awesome and successful season, but i just worry about why Bowden plays the minutes he does.
I agree with the sentiment, but nothing guarantees that will magically happen now, I’d prefer to just man up and win a game like this for once instead. I mean last year we lost early on to Villanova, then went on to have a great regular season... then lost to the sisters of the poor in the second round of the big dance. Not sure there is a correlation. I know we are looking for positives but dang, just once I’d rather bathe in the joy of a glorious win; oh well, perhaps before I pass the Vols will give me something to feel warm and fuzzy about in some major sport. Starting to doubt it though.Tough loss but sometimes better to experience this early in the season and improve. I want them to peak at the end of the season, not in Nov/Dec.
No it isn't too many. We lose in OT, we have to bury those open ones. We still lack a scorer, and Bowden is not it.We shot 27 threes... that is too many for this team. Overall, I thought we played great and that will be good enough to beat almost every team we play this season. This is a very good team.
I know the whiners will be out in full force over the loss, anyway...
