My son is asking for a 9mm compact to start shooting more with friends etc. I don't want to break the bank on his first one, so I'm looking to stay sub-$500. The CZ P10C looks like a good option to me. Maybe IWI as well. Canik?

Range USA has the RXM for 379 and I get 10% off with my membership.... 340 seems fair for a cool new model. Reviews look good. I think my son would like the look, too.
Palmetto State Armory Daggers. You can get them with threaded barrels and with optic mounts for a very good price. My son bought a Stoeger STR-9C a couple of years ago from Palmetto State for about $200. We've fired about 200 rounds through it and haven't had any trouble at all (I was a little surprised really). It's been a great range and practice gun for cheap. My son is asking for a 9mm compact to start shooting more with friends etc. I don't want to break the bank on his first one, so I'm looking to stay sub-$500. I hit the range for a test run. The RXM felt comfortable, nice front glow sight, great stock trigger, shoots where you point, and the price was right. It's basically a modular G19, with an optics-ready plate, and there are a lot of cool grip/lower mods hitting the market if he ever wants to customize. He will be happy. The RXM is a Glock Gen 3 clone, and I mean that as a good thing. Good amount of Gen 3 parts will work with it. There's a lot worse you can buy for more money.
