If they approved a brace in 2012 then why not just say that is the standard or better yet just say which ones are and which ones aren’t acceptable. There’s not that many. Worrying about the intent on how someone plans to fire a weapon is absurd.
I have an AK-V. I like it but don't have a lot of rounds through it. Hopefully, I will get more use out of it when ammo supplies stabilize. Reading some of the recent posts in this thread, it sounds like I'll have to deal with the stabilizing brace issue. Although, I really won't feel bad if the final result is I get an SBR w/o having to pay the tax and can replace the brace with an actual folding stock down the road.Anyone in love with a particular compact pistol caliber carbine? I shot my friend's Scorpion recently and it's a fun little gun.
Wgaf. Just dont comply with their ********.
If they can’t come out and tell what is legal and what isn’t how the f*** can they just try and enforce random bs based on the weather that day? Why be so ambiguous about it when you can just say what you want to deem in compliance and what you don’t? It’s so ridiculous.
I’m not an expert in this stuff but I would assume that this sort of vague guidance would not support a criminal conviction because it’s inadequate to give people notice of what is illegal and without that notice it’s impossible to form criminal intent. However, it probably is sufficient to support a seizure and civil penalty in the world of administrative law.If they can’t come out and tell what is legal and what isn’t how the f*** can they just try and enforce random bs based on the weather that day? If you call the ATF about the same issue three times you’ll get four different answers.I’m no expert either but when they admittedly won’t tell you what they deem to be criminal intent and what exactly needs to be done to keep yourself in compliance it’s a farce. It’s like “we’ll let you know what’s illegal when we take your s**t and put you in jail” after they’ve backtracked on what they use to say was good to go.
I initially went in thinking for a starter I’d get an M&P, but was easily persuaded to upgrade
