The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

Finally got a 1911. REALLY wanted a Gold Cup Trophy. However, after reading many reviews, ended up going with a Dan Wesson Valor.

There’s a reason I have a second job 🤣

I have a Springfield .45 Range Officer. Tripped over it at a could-not-walk-away price. I've shot it maybe three, four times. Gun way better than the shooter. It sits on the shelf with four mags of 230 HST's waiting on the Zombies to show up. Way too much for IWB carry. I do take it to the Smokies when we vacation up there, albeit with 230 FMJ's in the event I have to stand between my Sheperd and a bear. Hate the thought, but have to carry it.

My only full-size 1911. I have an RIA compact .45 that is my nightstand gun, and that one I shoot regularly. Not a Colt, not a Springfield, and definitely not a Kimber, but that heavy slab of steel will put 230 grain HST's in the "fight ends right here" ring at 7-10 yards all day long. Love that gun.

Glock 30S for every day IWB duty. 10 rounds, and a G21 mag in my pocket gives me 13 more if I need them. Not a big fan of Glock, but hard to argue with the simplicity and reliability.

Still...that gun of yours. We talked about this before. I'm in your will, right?

Yea of course.

I think I have enough handguns for the Kevin Hart skit. One for just about every room if I wanted. The Valor will be my nightstand gun. The 226 Legion, the wife’s.

She finally got her CWP. She’s just gotta decide if she wants to carry the Hellcat or the 365 (going to the range soon). I’ll carry the other. I have a feeling she’s going to like the Hellcat more (easier sights).

I’ll probably add a Colt 1911 eventually, just because it’s a Colt.

My collection is just about where I think I’m good (but are we ever really satisfied? No).

Got my wife to go shoot for the first real time ever on Sunday. She'd shot a grand total of two rounds out of .22s before this and was terrified of guns. She left the range talking about when we go back "next weekend". She went from being hands-over-face scared to lighting up the target and loading up her own gun in the span of about 10 minutes.

I've never taken anyone shooting that didn't want to do more. That's not a particularly small sample size either.

My family came down from New York. My cousins wife had never held a gun before. First up was the Ruger Mini 14 followed by the AK47. she now ready to move here and start her own collection.

I’m still not talking to you.

Jealousy is an ugly thing.
Your M1s were probably used to kill WW2 Nazis. If that’s true I may never forgive you for owning Guns I’ve been unable to collect.
There were active in WW2 for sure. Two carbines are 42’ and 41’ . Garand is 42’. All matching.
I bought them from my step uncles daughter. He passed away 5 years ago and she had no clue what he had. We opened his safe and we gave her values of each weapon based in years and condition. She was and is still going to sell the remainder! I told her I wanted the WW2 weapons in my collection to keep them in the family. She has 4- 1893 winchester from the year 1897! She has 2- colt revolving stainless steel 45 auto rifles and colt only made like 30 of those things. Very unique indeed.

That’s awesome.
I’m glad you were able to save them.

I’d like to save more but I don’t have the cash! What is even more crazy?!?! She doesn’t know what she has so she stores them in her attic just laying down! They get rusty and and it pretty cruddy shape after a while and she won’t listen. It’s depressing........
