well I'm finally over the pneumonia.sorta :) I haven't been up to getting out and checking the gun shops out yet

the model S&W MODEL 442 looks like what I'm looking for

but I've been looking into a Charter 14420 Bulldog .44 Special ,it is says 409 bucks on there website

from reviews it seems to be a solid gun,but I don't know nothing about them,has anybody had experience with a Charter gun ?

I did see where they weren't good at times,but supposedly that was years ago and there supposed to be good guns now

They are solid revolvers. Stick to the mild stuff and you'll be fine. In other words, no heavy Elmer Keith loads trying to turn it into a 44 mag.

Also, unless you roll your own, 44 special is rather expensive compared to the .38 special.

.38 special is more readily available too. Personally, I'd roll with the smith.

It looks like they've done something different with the chamber, similar to the Wylde for the 556.

Maybe, I have shot it around 18 times and it shoots really well to be a older foreign made gun. I may just leave it as is and hang it in my safe. Im not really sure what I want to do yet. :)

So long as you aren't reloading heavyweight bullets, you should be fine. To make a long story short, the original chamber for the 6.8 wasn't really long enough (free bore) to handle higher pressure loads. Same principle of the .223 chamber not being capable of handling higher pressure 5.56 loads. So the chamber was reamed out slightly more to accommodate the higher pressure stuff most manufacturers were making. The ARP chamber is in between the two and it's safe to handle anything. It's an accuracy improvement from Harrison Beene that probably has forgotten more about the 6.8 than most will ever know.

The guys over at the 6.8 forums are in love with the ARP products and they are far more into the 6.8 than I am. Like a religion with some of them.

You should see the gnashing of teeth and free falling tears from the Glock fan boys over this choice. I haven't seen this level of butthurt since the election. Of course, I don't see Glock owners causing riots...

Alien gear is nice, Brave Response is my choice, I'm currently wearing it iwb(it's similar to a belly band) with 2 extra mags, and my M&P shield .

My wife will occasionally carry it with a galco iwb that's right handed so I don carry it.

My alien gear is nice and light but I find myself adjusting the tension too much for only wearing it occasionally.

I am about to order a crossbreed super tuck deluxe with horsehide backing .

I had a Minotaur but it rode too deep for me and I traded my bro Inlaw for some leather mag holders for my 1911.

Alien gear has a 2 holster deal for 70$ or so, they're definitely the cheapest.

Just gotta try out a few and see what you like.
I'm left handed so it's hard to find ones that feel right and ride comfortably.

With the nice weather I had a chance to shoot my little 300BO with the 7-1/2" barrel. Have the primary arms red dot on it. I was simply amazed. I got 3" groups from 100 yards with a zero power red dot.

Question though. It was really throwing the brass out. Probably 8-10 feet and at about a 20-30 degree angle backward. Does that sound like it might be over gassing a bit? Maybe a stiffer buffer?

Certainly overgassed.

Try an H2 or H3 buffer. If that fails, try the Bravo Company Intermediate System or the Vltor A5 system.
