So anyone have or fired a Glock 43? I got one for Christmas and haven't been to the range yet and wanted some opinions.

I have a G43 and I love it. Admittedly, though, I'm a huge Glock fan. I think the G43 is a very versatile handgun when it comes to conceal carry; it can be easily concealed and carried by men or women (my wife currently carries a G43). It was specifically designed for conceal carry; i.e. the single-stack as opposed to Glock's double-stack options.

Some will say, correctly, that it doesn't "fit" them well. They might not be as accurate with the G43 as compared to other handguns. I feel very accurate with mine; especially compared to the G27 that I've carried for 10+ years. You'll have to decide if the G43 "fits" you or not.

Thanks. Probably gonna be the next gun that I purchase, specifically to carry. I carry a G22 now, but it's awfully big and tough to conceal.

Yep. If you typically like Glocks, you'll like the 43. Same ol' boring Glock feel and reliability. Really shoots well for a small, light pistol.

I have shot the G43 while looking for a cc pistol, I fell in love with the M&P shield 9 performance center, way better trigger and sights, and 1 more round in the stardard mag that came with it, (extended mag holds 8 )ported barrel and slide gives it less recoil and muzzle rise which gives better follow up shot accuracy. Same price basically.

I stopped at at a gun shop in Kingsport today,just browsing,I'm looking for a good cheap pump shot gun,they had a Stevens for 200 bucks,I Thought it was a bit pricey for what I want

something beside the bed,not a hunting gun :) I'm going to check out some pawn shops in Morristown next week and see what I can find

I would like to get a decent revolver too,I seen some that I had no idea as to who made them,but I'm not much up on them,they had some made by Charter,they looked a bit pricey to me

but I have no idea :) for the price,what would be a solid revolver ? it may be in my pocket,so something small,but they will be laying beside the bed and not shot often at all

and something with some punch,a 38 ?I figure if I have to shoot one,I want it to go boom,so they will at least duck,if I miss lol

that is why I want a revolver,something that will last and no springs to worry about :)

They can be had without the stupid internal lock. I've had one for years and truth be told it spends more time on my person than anything else besides my G19. You'll have to change the grips as the ones it comes with are terrible with speed loaders. Grab a pair of uncle mikes j frame grips off of eBay for $20 and you're good to go.

I was hoping to go cheaper with a used revolver,like I said,something to lay beside the bed or fit in my pocket :) it won't be shot much at all

You get what you pay for, Taurus is good for a .38 around 350$ in great condition, instead of a pump get a single shot break action 12 or 20 gauge , save about 400$ and get a Remington 870 3.5" pump that is durable and reliable, forget the mindset they won't be shot often, you should train regularly if plan to keep any firearm for self defense whether it's bedside or cc.

Don't make the rest of us look bad. Train and respect the lifestyle of being armed.

I've all ways been pretty much armed and I do have a single shot 16 gauge hoarded in a friends gun safe that i need to pick up

I've had several different shot guns,rifles and just one pistol


but I am gun poor now and money is a factor

check armslist for your area....you can sort, by type, and caliber and should be able to find what you are looking for

This X1000. Though I'd also suggest taking out the dealers in said listings as well. You tend to get better deals through private party sales since you can wheel and deal with an individual while a dealer will tell you to get bent.
