For those in the Knoxville area, that have experience with fighting sheepdog, you should go read their Facebook page. They have several items of mine including a suppressor (still awaiting stamp), an AR10 upper, and a AR 10 lower. They up and moved locations back in February and left a note on the door that they'd be in a new location within a week. Well, that's never happened. I've sent emails, and left messages numerous times and have never received a response. Their phone now doesn't work. They claim the ATF is the holdup, via their Facebook page. I'm just hoping I get my stuff and then I'll never trust them with my business again. What makes it worse is they don't understand why customers are upset. The Facebook page is a good read.

If they are in possession of items that you have already paid for, I'd go ahead and reach out to the applicable authorities...including the ATF. If they took your money, but have not made a good faith attempt to deliver what you paid for, Georgia calls that "Theft by Deception", or "Theft by Taking", depending on the exact circumstances. Could be a felony, depending on the total dollar amount involved.

If not, then once bitten, twice shy. I had a similar experience with ExpertAmmo.com. Got my money back from Navy Fed, and AmmoSeek has banned them. Sometimes, it pays to be the squeaky wheel.

It shouldn't, but it amazes me how many people are ****ty at running a business. If you charge a fair price and do what you say you'll do when you say you'll do it, your phone will never stop ringing. I know a lot of businesses fail in infancy but I think it can be traced back to the founders being morons.

Got my Rock back. Gun is noticeably “tighter”. Like the Trijicon sights. Have to see how they (I) shoot, but trading the standard GI sights for Triji’s has to be an improvement.

I've contacted the Anderson County Sheriffs department. Spoke to the cheif of detectives. He recommended that I give it a few more days to see if their claims of waiting to receive the actual FFL in the mail. They claim that the ATF website has updated showing they are a valid FFL holder but can't do business until it's in hand. The have 2 FFL items that have SNs tied to me, a Saker 7.62 suppressor and a AR10 lower receiver. The suppressor is awaiting tax stamp approval.

I would say if there are as many people that have been screwed by these people as I think, there's probably enough to combine efforts into a sizable lawsuit. I'm going to give them until the end of May before I take action.

So I went and did some "internet sleuthing". Facebook, Google, BBB, generic web search of the business name, etc.


I'd say you might want to go ahead and at least file an initial report. Print out some stuff on them from the internet (it won't be hard to find a lot of it), including their BBB rating (F), and go back to ACSO.


Also, ask about filing a claim in small claims court, just in case the SO won't pick it up as a criminal investigation. Yeah, it'll cost you to file, and there are no guarantees...but when they get served it will let them know you are serious...and maybe you'll get lucky and get your stuff back.


My guess is that TBI will take it if ACSO won't. Involves firearms, and a suppressor. Same for the ATF. Call the Knoxville office and see what they say.

Are you going to SBR a .308? And if so, how's your hearing and your dental plan?

Lol. No plan on SBR a 308. Although the Saker would handle the 308. I don't know if I have the stomach to go for a stamp on the AR 10.

ACSO has seemed willing to get involved. I think they're already involved to some extent. They've encouraged me to wait a bit longer before going after them. I think they must know something they're not sharing. Perhaps they know the FFL is indeed in the mail. If I can get my AR 10 parts and they can remain in business long enough for my suppressor stamp to come through, I'll just never do business with them again.

No, just the initial background check and transfer for the lower I ordered back in January that I still don't have. I've left them numerous phone messages and written several emails asking them to send it back or to another FFL that I've used but I've never gotten a response.

Makes sense. I grew up in Powell. My Dad retired from TVA at Bull Run Steam Plant. I know the area.

Being from there, and being a "dirt road deputy", I'm inclined to agree with you. Odds are, someone at the ACSO knows those folks. Has probably done business with them. Might be related. So my guess would be that they've reached out to the owners and told them "We're starting to get a lot of complaints; you might want to do what you can to make it right before it gets out of hand." Again, just an uneducated guess.

So keep it where it is, for now. But I'd go ahead and starting putting the "timeline" together, including all paperwork, emails, etc. just in case you need it down the road. Best of luck to you.

Its crazy how she doesn't understand why people are upset and stays so defensive.

Its madness. Its not worth the 10 bucks I'd save to transfer anything through them, and I've liked working with them in the past. This whole thing ended it, she's managed to make it progressively worse each couple of weeks...

If she'd handled it with humility and apologetically, people would have been more forgiving and understanding but to completely ignore request for answers and statuses of their products makes for trouble. I've spent my last dollar with them.

I checked their Facebook page this morning and as of yesterday they've received their FFL hard copy. She claims that they are working with local law enforcement and the ATF to get everyone's stuff to them. She claims that over the next few weeks she will contact each individual personally to arrange things. We'll see I guess.

Question for GV or anyone sharp on 1911 style .45's:

My RIA compact .45 came back from Armscor with Trijicon sights and the "tune-up" they do when you send one in. New mainspring and recoil spring. Haven't shot it yet, but the gun is noticeably "tighter". Trigger seems a bit heavier; maybe 4-5 lbs now?

So do I need to "shoot it in"again? I wouldn't think so, since the barrel is original, but just curious. FYI, this is my preferred off-duty IWB gun. I know I need to (and will) shoot it to see where it hits with the new sights, but do I need to do anything else, or more?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
