They are playing a lot of guys on defense and pretty simple play calling

DJ Lagway is gonna abuse this secondary. Hope we get Mccoy back soon and get some things fixed we cannot have any more injuries. I’m gonna cut them a little slack since it’s the first game but i’m disappointed in the D i thought we would be better than this.

The 3rd downs are a result of lack of pressure. We are playing a soft zone designed to prevent home runs while pressure forces QB to throw. We aren’t getting home fast enough.

I think sometimes many of you forget how much of a chess match football is. How many fan bases were thinking their defense was in trouble after 2021 Tennessee with Hendon Hooker at QB racked up all those yards and points against them. Coaches in college make a huge difference, play calling is a chess match, some times you make the wrong move, Syracuse has great offensive play calling Could we use some more push up front, absolutely, but we will be fine.
