The Official 2025 NFL Draft Thread

Taking 2 QBs in a single draft has really worked for teams in the past. Most recently, San Fran drafted Trey Lance @ 3, just to wind up with Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy leading the team. RG3 has some bright spots, but was replaced by Kirk Cousins. Dare I bring up Heath Shuler and Gus Ferotte.

But they didnt already have 3 qbs on their roster.

browns now have 5
Watson may not even play in 2025 after he ruptured his Achilles. Flacco isn’t their future. He’s a stand in. The competition will be between Pickett, Gabriel, and Sanders. Unless those three guys look phenomenal one may be cut unless they want to go with 4 qbs this year.

I mean the Browns have decades of bad qb play. Maybe taking a completely different approach will work for them to find an actual starter. Or not. It’s still the Browns.

When the criminal nepo baby took over the Browns, he talked about leadership and accountability at QB. Let's see....

Manziel
Mayfield (who had his off the field issues)
Watson
Jameis
Sanders (after overdrafting a late D3 guy in Gabriel during D2)

In hindsight, it’s kind of crazy we thought we stood a chance against Ohio State lol. So much NFL talent on that team.

Being a Steelers fan it pains me to say this but Baltimore is probably the best team at drafting players. They seem to always get it right

I mean the more QBs you take, one of em has to work out right?
Except you can't play them all and try them out........ They'll probably cut a 3 time Superbowl winning future Hall of Fame.

This doesn't read in any way what an NFL exec would say...... Maybe it's being paraphrased but I'd be extremely skeptical.
I said exactly the same thing. Looks like some dude down at the local Buffalo Wild Wings wrote it.

Read something else that the GM for the NY Giants had sent Sanders an “install” to prepare for the interview and didn’t do it. Came in totally unprepared, GM called him out on it, Sanders took exception to being called out and the meeting ended in pretty short order. It wouldn’t surprise me if that except isn’t too far from the truth if Sanders didn’t prepare for any of these interviews with teams. Word can get around that way.
