I thought the Browns were rafting well but not sure why taking Gabriel and Sanderswait, what was the point of taking Gabriel then?
Browns will always be the Browns I guess……
I think if they really wanted him, they would've drafted him early. At this point, he is the best player available by far according to risk/reward. It's worth a shot taking a player that can easily be cut if he becomes an issue.I thought the Browns were rafting well but not sure why taking Gabriel and Sanders
Only thing that really makes sense is that they really wanted Sanders but wanted to teach him a lesson and they have him even cheaper
Honestly he has a chance of being QB1 there. Be interesting to see if he decides to use the motivation of the drop to prove people wrong. His dad is cocky like that and probably already telling him, show those fools whats up so I'm sure he's going to be even more motivated nowI guess they just needed depth there. Flacco is old, Pickett is mediocre, Watson sucks and has a torn Achilles. Given the total crap shoot of qb drafting you hope one of Gabriel or Sanders works out.
probably right. Didn’t think about Flacco.I guess they just needed depth there. Flacco is old, Pickett is mediocre, Watson sucks and has a torn Achilles. Given the total crap shoot of qb drafting you hope one of Gabriel or Sanders works out.
I should have been more clear. I meant they hope either Sanders or Gabriel wins the job at some point this year or at the start of the ‘26 season. The others on the roster aren’t a long term answer.Honestly he has a chance of being QB1 there. Be interesting to see if he decides to use the motivation of the drop to prove people wrong. That Watson trade was absolutely horrific given the draft picks lost and his frequent injuries/terrible play.probably right. Didn’t think about Flacco.
Guess it’ll be Shedeur, Gabriel and Pickett next season when Flacco is retired and Deshaun is, hopefully, unemployed. That’s the most Browns QB room I can think of.
Fun as it’s been to mock Shedeur for his fall I definitely think he’ll be their starting QB in 26. Not convinced Gabriel can hack it in the NFL, but I’ve certainly been wrong before.I should have been more clear. You may be right. This is the type of motivational stuff that could push him to prove people wrong. Doesn’t hurt he comes from family money so he doesn’t have that worry.
