I thought his team played their butts off. Both teams did. He’s right to pull back the postgame comments. Tennessee gave away stuff too that made a difference - dropped punt, dropped deep ball, sketchy OPI, tipped passes.

What the… You were stained Crimson at one time… for real… Well, in the Left Behind books, there was on character who had the mark put on him by his parents when he was knocked out. He worked with the righteous and found redemption. At least you found Orange at some point in your life.

When I was 5 years old I lived in Athens Alabama where my father worked for TVA. My sister and I came home from school and thought we were Alabama fans because the kids and teachers were. My dad corrected that and bought us Tennessee beanbags to sit on when friends came over and sweatshirts to wear to school. He taught me to tell people that I pull for Tennessee because my grandfather and father graduated there and one day I will too. You pull for Alabama because you got a shirt at the gas station where your father works.

That’s some insight as to where I learned to talk trash

We moved back to Chattanooga when I was 6

I know what you meant. I had a hard time pulling for Nico. Obviously I wanted him to be the best thing since sliced bread but I never did care for him even before he stepped foot on campus.

I liked the 15-16 team.

I grew up in Jacksonville in the 80s and mom bought me a Florida shirt. I was pissed. I was like 7 or 8.

“You can like both Florida AND Tennessee!”

No mom, you can’t.

To this day I tell her it qualifies as child abuse.
